ArgentVive plc announces establishment of Retail8 Limited and new online services

ArgentVive plc (formally samedaybooks.co.uk plc) announces that it has formed
Retail8 Limited, a company specifically focusing on the business to consumer
(B2C) offering of the group, and the launch of a new mobile phone service,
“BookRabbit”™.

ArgentVive plc is an e-commerce group with market leading technology and the
development capability, infrastructure and sales models to rapidly expand in
B2B and B2C markets. The company’s strategy is, through the development of
online businesses, to become a major provider of internet based solutions to
enterprises across a wide range of industries Retail8 Limited was established
to acquire, incubate and accelerate new consumer facing e-commerce and web
publishing businesses and is today launching BookRabbit.com.BookRabbit™ is
a new mobile phone service offering the first location-specific bookstore search
facility in the UK. It gives consumers, with an Internet enabled mobile phone,
details of where their nearest bookshop is, upon entry of just a postcode or
location. The service is free to retailers and booksellers and will help drive
online and offline custom to stores, leading to increased sales and brand
awareness. Retail8 Limited is continuing to develop BookRabbit™ and future
versions will have significant additional functionality including the ability to
locate book titles, view upcoming local events and bookshop reviews.

In a first-mover development, the service has been optimised for Apple’s
iPhone and iTouch units ahead of their UK launch. This is a particularly
exciting innovation at a time when the first of a new generation of mobile
phones with larger screen sizes and faster internet access are coming to the
market.

BookRabbit™ also utilises Google’s Mapping service to give satellite and
detailed geographical data.
