Appointment of Directors

The Board of samedaybooks.co.uk plc (the “Company” or “samedaybooks”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Denton as Deputy Chairman and Kevin Fleming as Finance Director.

Charles Denton announced on 27 June 2007 that he has acquired, and received acceptances through his offer for samedaybooks, in respect of a total of 59.13 per cent. of the issued share capital. Mr. Denton is injecting a new management team into the business which he believes will be more appropriate for the Company’s future direction. This team will manage the evolution of the business and implement acquisition strategy. Simultaneously the Board aims to exploit the valuable internet solutions within the Company and to consolidate the performance of the existing book retailing business into two strategic platforms with less reliance on retail stores.

Mr. Kevin Fleming is being appointed to the Board as Finance Director.

Prior to joining samedaybooks, Mr. Fleming was the Head of Finance for Interactive Gaming Holdings plc and during his tenure was responsible for the finance function of the group and for dealing with the IT and HR issues affecting the company. He was previously Financial Controller of Bibendum Wine Limited, an award winning wine distributor, and held the lead finance position at Imparta Limited, a start up company which was listed as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 list in 2004 and 2005.

Mr. Fleming started his career as a trainee accountant at East & Company in Sligo, Ireland. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. In 1998 he moved to London to become Senior Head Office Accountant at Charter plc.

Mr. Fleming will be replacing Andrew Wells who has resigned as a Director of the Company. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Wells for his long service to the Company. There will follow a phased handover between Mr. Wells and Mr. Fleming over the next three months.

Further changes to the management team will be made in due course.
